What are Bioplastics?

Bioplastics are made from starch derived from plants, like corn, potatoes and cassava. It is an alternative source of renewable plastic material compared to the conventional petroleum-based plastics. The commercial applications of bioplastics are very similar to that of the conventional plastics.
